Photo review of my trip to Uppsala City in Sweden.
[Travel Logs] I went to Sweden for a quick trip and my journey started in the city of Uppsala, the fourth biggest city of the country (close but in the north of Stockholm). Weather conditions were good but not optimal because it was winter still and regular temperature was -5 degrees celsius. (no snow but some raining and therefore ice).Concert house building was very recent opened and brand new.
Uppsala Cathedral
Uppsala is a university city, which means that the city and population grew around the university.
Restauration area (student cafeteria) inside the university main building.
Uppsala has little or none traces of vikings. They were more in the north of the country.
I only stayed 1 day in the city but I had enough time to meet amazing people and go for a drink in an english pub at night. Sweden, as a way to reduce alcoholism, charge high prices for a beer. Mine cost me around €9 euros (US$11 aprox).
I got impressed by the Biogas buses around the city which heps reducing the carbon foot print to the environment.
Preparing the bags at the train station heading to Stockholm (the capital).
