Stockholm city

[Travel Logs] Following my trip to Sweden, after taking the train from Uppsala, my next destination in the nordic country was Stockholm city.

The city is very big and mainly conformed by a lot of islands and channels. The most turistic place is the old town in the center, which is called by locals as Gamla Stan.

Stockholm is a mix between new and old architecture with no skycrappers or very high and tall buildings in the surroundings.

I went to do a visit to the house of the Kings of Sweden. They live in the Royal Palace which is at the same time a museum.

Ok, imperial guards are not like the ones you can find in London, but they are very commited.

Another very close museum (and one I highly recommend) its the Vasa Museum. The Vasa is a war ship from 17th century that sank after sailing not far from the port. It was lifted back and recovered after 300 years and now is in exhibition.

The ship reminds me the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
