Peruvian food

Pollo a la Brasa

This was, pretty much, the food I was eating last week during my stay in Peru. Peruvian food is not so spicy at all and the more popular meal around here is chicken and the all famous "ceviche" - a popular seafood dish.

One of my favorite meals were the "Anticucho" - roast meat in sticks and for drinking: Pisco Sour, a lemonade drink with a variation of white wine.

Continental Breakfast
Saltado de Pollo
Anticucho
Pizza Napolitana
Pisco
Aji de Gallina

Aji de Gallina (Chicken with rice meal), looks a little bit like puke doesnt it?

This is how my dish ended up after eating the food. It tasted good and I think I was very hungry to ate it all.

I LOVE aji de gallina!! My step mother used to make it for me when I was a kid and she recently passed the recipe onto me so I had to try it. The version you had looks amazing and not 1,000 miles from what I drummed up the other night! You can see it on our blog

@noobotaku: I think its a curry variation from here. It tasted great. I was about to order a second dish.

@themadhiker: Thx for sharing the recipe. Will try it to cook it by myself.
