Cusco and surroundings

Following with my photo review of my trip to Peru, this time I have uploaded pictures from the city of Cusco.

Cusco's Cathedral, located in front central park (Plaza de Armas).

I consider this picture kind of unique. I think they were posing for the pictures, no doubt about it but it turned out very well.

Ice cream in a bar?

The alpaca is the domesticated camel from this regions. You can find more info in here.

The next pictures are from the surroundings of Cusco. If you are planning a trip to Machu Picchu you have to visit Sacsayhuaman (pronounced like Sexy Woman), Chinchero, Ollantaytanbo and Pisac.

In Sacsayhuaman there are Inca ruins with enormous rocks. How ancient people moved and stacked those rocks?

What? You did not know ice cream in bar?
Here in Brazil is quite common due to the heat that makes almost the whole year, it is called "gelinho", something like "little ice"

You sure that is an ice cream (doesn't look right)?

Love the architecture and really wish I could of been in the locations you were. Love the history and want to pet a Llama without it spiting at me- LOL
