Shutting down my blog

Saber will atack anyone who dares to stop me bloggin'Saber will atack anyone who dares to stop me bloggin'

Ok, first of all, dont worry. No, Im not shutting down my blog. I think, at least, that I have a lot to say before to unplug the cord.

Im just doing a little comment of an article that I found in wired. Now in this article, the author asserts that you should quit your blog right now mainly because It's kind of impossible to get noticed in the cloud.

I kind of agree with him but not entirely. I used to think that the number of comments and the feed readers you get in your blog was a primary concern but I dont think that anymore (but surely it helps at least with your statistics... ^_^)

Someone once told me the way you help promote other sites and people would increment your hits in your site, and I think its true. Bloggin isnt just write, its about visit other related sites, meet people with your blog, do friends and share comments and mostly visits.

I could have gone into much more detail slamming the Wired article but I think its not the case.

I enjoy bloggin and enjoy visiting my favorite sites in the community and I think I spent great time posting comments in other sites. I also think my audience its far beyond my close friends and co-workers. Im not planning in stop bloggin no matter how much time I could spare without doing a post or because of my dry English (I think I tend to write little posts because of my bad English writting skills).

For those who were frightened, Im sorry. Its amazing how this post title has gave me a lot of hits and clicks for the moment...

Note: If you are planning to start your blog, go ahead, if you have your site running... Go ahead too!!

There might be some sense in what that guy who wrote the article said but I don't know...getting noticed was never really a big incentive for me, it's just a lot of fun to have somewhere to host my pics. Plus blogging allows me to have quick access to figure information/announcements.

Such articles shouldn't really sway your opinion towards blogging. After all, it's a hobby, not your bread and butter.

I just started my blog recently, but I'm not giving it up if no one reads it. =P

Good luck with continuing your blog and I'll do the same. X3
