I always change the wallpaper in my phone, which is not an Iphone but an Android, and my favorite theme as you can guess is moe anime girls.
I have found that the best image resolution for use as a wallpaper in a cellphone is 1080x1920 but you can find other sizes that work perfect for the screen of your phone. This could be 750x1334 or 950x1534. Smaller screen sizes or images that has a good fit are 640x1136 pixels.
