For the unitiated, the japanese scholar bag used for secundary and high school students is called "sukuba" (short for sukuru baggu). In a previous post, I talked about the randoseru, mostly used for elementary school students at the beginning of their school life .

The sukuba is a rectangular bag, mostly asociated to girls but male students also use it. The material could be synthetic leather or nylon and the most traditional colors are black and navy blue.
