if the person review his earning to other ppl, most likely there is some hidden purpose behind it (regardless the earning is true or not).

Most of the time I saw this kind of fake earning pic it has to be promoting those "money generating package".

Anyway, only bother have ads when u have enough traffic, at least few hundred a day...

Yea, for blogs hosted on wordpress.com, it's against TOS to have paid ads. Also, wordpress.com put their own ads on blogs they host, and the money generated goes to them.

I'd love to hear if Google Adsense works for you. Wasn't spectacular on one of my older blogs, then again, it didn't do as well as Geekorner.
