My Windows Vista experience

I see a lot of sites and blogs about the new Microsoft OS: Windows Vista. I will share in this one my little experience about this new operating system.

First of all, i dont have Windows Vista installed in my PC. Instead, i had the chance to give Vista tech support at work and with my friends and family.

A lot of people like Vista and a lot of people dont. There are discussions regarding this new operating system, but for me it looks pretty much like the Windows XP Pro but with a stylized desktop with a new graphic interface: the Aero, with a lot of visual effects.

The main difference with previous OS versions is nothing is where its supposed to be, but when you finnally found the things you are looking for, then you think: What was the change again?? Let me explain, for example, the Control Panel, its completely re-design (visually speaking) but there are the same usual icons like "Administrative Tasks" or the "Services" icon, and when you hit with your mouse over them you see the exact same window as it was before.

Sure there are a lot of improvements, but there wasnt deep changes to the meaningful applications we use in the Windows core. The upgrade wasnt too radical like we where moving from Windows 98 to XP. I think i expected something like that with this new version.
